Medicare Stars Expert | Analysis and Advisory | HEDIS, CAHPS and Stars Reporting and Tools
Something new for BHA. We're betting on our client's success. In the contract I just signed, we're taking on some risk. We agreed to reduce the fee for our Star Ratings "Analytics and Advisory" support in return for bonus payments tied directly to their future Star Ratings. It's a little risky, but I did it for 3 reasons. #1 - getting higher Star Ratings is the whole point of BHA and I might as well make explicit the implicit commitment. #2 - it gives me a very clean way to tie employees' bonuses directly to the value that we deliver. Every person on the team can start each day knowing what goals are most important to BHA, to the client and exactly how it will benefit them individually. #3 - it's safer for the health plan, but done right can actually make a nice ROI for us. #medicareadvantagestars

?? 2025 Star Ratings Performance Insights: Key Measure Improvements & Declines ?? We analyzed the change in plan performance across each measure from 2024 to 2025. Specifically, we looked at the number of plans that had an improvement or decline in their measure stars. Here are some key insights: ?? Top Improvements: Transitions of Care and Health Plan Quality Improvement were the measures with the highest gains ?? Biggest Declines: Call Center – Foreign Language & TTY Availability (Part C&D), MPF Price Accuracy and Controlling Blood Pressure saw the biggest declines, particularly the call center measures declined mostly from 5 to 4 stars. ?? Stable performance: Part D measures like SUPD and Med Adh. for HTN were some of the measure that saw very few measure performance changes, indicating relatively stable performance. #MedicareAdvantage #StarRatings
