Yesterday our team members were on Capitol Hill to meet with representatives and advocate for policies that protect funding for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Programs (LIHEAP) and support vulnerable households in central Maryland.

Val Jenkins, a BGE Operations Support Assistant, founded Hug Don't Shoot in 2017 to promote nonviolence. Since then, the organization has expanded beyond Baltimore, reaching communities in other states and even internationally. The group focuses on bringing people together through events, resources, and support.
