One week ago, Baltimore Gas and Electric crews began their first assignment with Georgia Power Company as part of our ongoing mutual assistance efforts in the wake of Hurricane Helene. This storm season has been challenging for many us, but our dedicated teams are on the ground, working side-by-side with Georgia Power to restore service to thousands of customers impacted by the storm. Baltimore Gas and Electric is proud to collaborate with our utility partners when they need us most, helping to ensure that power is safely and efficiently restored to affected communities. Our crews will remain in Georgia for the coming week, continuing this critical work. Thank you to our employees who are making a difference on the frontlines and we wish them continued safety in their efforts and safe travels home.

We are celebrating five years of the BGE Workforce Collaborative, launched in partnership with Civic Works, Inc. in September 2019. This program provides comprehensive training in utility infrastructure, including construction labor, job readiness, and related skills. Graduates who successfully complete the program are prepared to begin careers in construction, with many securing full-time positions with BGE contractors and industry partners.
