The Class is a new six-part docuseries coming to PBS starting TODAY and features Ballmer Group grantees College Advising Corps and Campaign for College Opportunity. The Class follows six high school students in Antioch, CA, who fight for their college dreams against the odds, with the support of one college counselor who won't give up. The first $50 million in grants has been disbursed to LA wildfire relief organizations. The initial round of grantmaking supports immediate needs such as temporary housing, rental assistance, food access, and?disaster case management. Emma Beiser joined us this month as a Grants Manager with Ballmer Group’s Strategy and Operations team, where she manages all aspects of the grantmaking process, from decisioning to reporting. She brings extensive experience in nonprofit operations and grants management, most recently overseeing the grant portfolio at Special Olympics Washington. With a master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership & Management and extensive experience managing grantseeking processes, Emma has honed her skills in creating efficient systems, building relationships, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate data. Ballmer Group is thrilled to announce the recent promotion of Korey Klein. Korey's role has expanded from Senior Portfolio Manager on the Tech and Data team to Director of Tech and Data. Korey's hard work and commitment have been recognized across Ballmer Group! Ballmer Group's Technology and Data strategy focuses on three core areas: improving access to public benefits, supporting the digital transformation of the nonprofit sector, and addressing the digital divide. As Director, Korey will continue to lead our national benefits access strategy and grantmaking while also expanding our efforts to identify innovative technology solutions for and from the nonprofit and government sectors.
