Many of our projects are in occupied buildings, where we buffer adjacent tenants from the effects of construction. Sometimes our work involves phasing, allowing a client to occupy the space we are renovating. A repeat urban client needed additional space for their rapidly expanding company. The renovation of two floors at Cira Centre with Ballinger comprised six phases, allowing the client to remain in their offices during construction. INTECH thoroughly mapped out the logistics to keep employees working in their offices without interruption and quickly delivered finished shared spaces for neighboring tenants with minimal disruption.?Thanks to Kat Kendon for another great photoshoot. #intechconstruction #intechphilly #buildphilly

Bold aspirations call for innovative design solutions. When the University of Maryland realized their current facility would not support their continued trajectory of becoming one of the nation’s top chemistry/biochemistry programs, they chose Ballinger to “catalyze a new era” of interdisciplinary chemistry for their department. The resulting LEED Gold design is a six-floor, 105,000 SF replacement wing connected and fully integrated into the existing Chemistry Complex. Designed with flexible spaces to maximize efficiency, the University of Maryland Chemistry Research Building contains a variety of environments for chemistry, biochemistry, and quantum science research including research labs, lab support, conference rooms, offices, study, and collaboration spaces in a rigorously planned, open interdisciplinary environment. ??: James Ewing University of Maryland #Architecture #Engineering #Ballinger #UMD
