Last week at the?Green Forum, we had the opportunity to hear?Arnita Veliu?share the inspiring story of?Botanic LLC, a sustainable business driving change in eco-friendly agriculture. This idea took its first steps with the support of our philanthropic program,?Balkan Green Ideas. Participants engaged in interactive working sessions, discussing concrete steps to strengthen administrative capacity in the?energy and climate sectors. The focus was on?improving environmental governance, building institutional capacities, and fostering cross-sector collaboration?for greener policies. As Kosovo moves towards a greener economy, the?Green Agenda?lays the foundation for?clean energy, climate resilience, and sustainable development. From reducing emissions to promoting circular economy practices, every step counts toward a healthier planet. This campaign is a part of the Kosovo Green Action project, supported by The World Bank under the #GPSA grant, in partnership with Open Data Kosovo and Levizja FOL.

Panel Highlight: Bridging the Green Agenda with EU Integration ?? At the 2nd Green Forum, a key discussion focused on “Bridging the Green Agenda with EU Integration.” Panelists tackled critical issues like the Clean Energy Package, climate policy governance, and carbon pricing. ?? Key Insights: Mr. Lulzim Korenica (Ministry of Economy) highlighted the government’s focus on safe energy supply, with new laws supporting market liberalization and prosumers. Mr. Abdullah Pir?e (Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure) discussed the draft decarbonization strategy, stressing the need for political will and legal reforms for carbon pricing ahead of CBAM in 2027. Mr. Dardan Abazi (INDEP) emphasized challenges in public consultations, noting barriers for marginalized groups in policymaking, and highlighted issues within ministries such as overburdened staff and vacant positions that hinder effective climate action. The panel called for stronger collaboration to advance Kosovo’s green transition in line with EU standards.
