关于我们

Baldwin County is located in the southwest corner of the state, bordered by the Gulf of Mexico, Mobile Bay, Florida, and adjoining counties in Alabama. It is one of the largest counties in land area east of the Mississippi River, home to more than 200,000 residents, and is the fastest growing county in Alabama and one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. Baldwin County is the location of the first public school in Alabama, built in 1799 by the community of Tensaw, and today's schools remain community centers. HAPPY THANKSGIVING: Just as the pilgrims and Indians gathered for the first Thanksgiving, kindergarten students at Pine Grove Elementary gathered today for their Thanksgiving meal. Students enjoyed mashed potatoes, green beans, turkey, gravy, dressing, and a roll. The students were so thankful for their friends and family as they gathered. Happy Thanksgiving. #baldwinproud #pgsstrong Enjoy the students' celebration and also a few turkeys in disguise. https://lnkd.in/eVWzFZki

AP AWARDS: Congratulations to Spanish Fort High and Fairhope High School for being named a 2024 AP Honor Roll Silver School by the College Board. Spanish Fort also received the AP Access Award. The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness. The AP School Honor Roll offers four levels of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Schools on the AP School Honor Roll may also earn the AP Access Award, honoring schools that demonstrate a clear and effective commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework. Schools earn the additional award if the percentage of AP Exam takers who are underrepresented?minority and/or low-income students mirrors the school's overall student demographics. For example, if 50% of a school's student body is low-income, then 50% of the AP Exam takers must also be low-income for a school to receive the AP Access Award.?
