We kick off Women’s History Month with a powerful reminder: The impact of mentorship lasts for generations. At Balch, we celebrate our many attorneys and professionals who strive to create opportunities for others—like partner Anne Kaufold-Wiggins, who lives by the belief: “If you see it, you can be it.” As a young attorney, Anne sought role models beyond what was familiar, and now, she works hard to be that example—so others can see what’s possible. We’re proud to spotlight Anne, Brooke Gram, and Katherine Carey, three inspiring attorneys in our Atlanta office who continually uplift and empower those around them. This year’s theme for #WomensHistoryMonth, Moving Forward Together: Women Educating & Inspiring Generations, highlights the power of mentorship in shaping the future. #WomensHistoryMonth #LifeAtBalch #Mentorship

We had a blast at the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyer Section’s annual chili cook-off! A special thank you goes to Balch’s Kyla George, Chris Walker, Erin Monsorno, and Tracey Mensah for making and serving our chili. This year’s event supported the Becoming Collegiate Academy and its mission to prepare young students for a successful future, with proceeds going to educational programs that benefit the Academy's students in grades K-5[HR1]. #LifeAtBalch #BalchGivesBack ??L-R: Kyla George, Christopher K. As Black History Month comes to a close, we reflect on the meaningful moments shared across our offices and the conversations that deepened our understanding of Black history and culture. ? This month, our team connected through events that honored both historical legacies and modern changemakers. ? In Birmingham, we attended an event honoring Judge Houston Brown, one of Cumberland School of Law’s first Black graduates, whose impact continues to inspire. ? In Montgomery, we visited the historic Dr. Richard Harris House, a historic home that served as a safe house for the Freedom Riders challenging interstate bus segregation. ? In Jackson, we gathered with the Jackson Black Women Lawyers Association. ? And in Atlanta, we explored inclusivity in the craft beer industry with Jen Price, founder of “Crafted for Action,” an organization that is focused on creating inclusive and welcoming experiences in the craft beer community. ? At Balch, we remain steadfast in our efforts to cultivate an environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives can thrive at their highest level. ? #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackExcellence #BHM #LifeAtBalch
