We want you to know that early detection is the best defense against breast cancer, and mammography has been the gold standard of screening exams for some time. We encourage you and your loved ones to have regular screenings! The Society of Breast Imaging recommends that a woman at average risk for breast cancer begin getting annual mammograms at age 40. Sitting all day can cause these muscles to tighten up, but you can conveniently get a nice hip flexor and quad stretch without leaving your desk! Start by sitting on the edge of your chair. Bring the foot of the side you plan to stretch behind you so your toe is firmly planted. Your knee should be at a 90* angle. Then, gently bring your pelvis forward until you feel a good stretch. If that doesn't bring on a "stretchy feeling," try tucking your pelvis down like you're "tucking your tailfeathers."
