Wow! What a day at Camp Grayling JMTC and the Michigan Army National Guard. To be included (Baker Engineering LLC.) in the industry day, was a highlight of my career. What the men and women across our global militaries are doing jointly to be prepared for our adversaries was real and evident. A special shout out to my WDC colleague Bethany Whittles Harris for representing our great organization Waséyabek and Scott Hiipakka for letting me suit up!

This month, we wanted to take the time to recognize our Quality Manager Heidi Ortiz. She is the one developing and Managing Baker Engineering’s Quality Management System, which is currently ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified and compliant. In support of customers in the aerospace, Dept. of Defense, Performance, and Engineering industries, Heidi ensures Baker Engineering is meeting customer requirements focused on continuous improvement. And if that wasn’t enough…… She manages our PRO/CAM inventory system, supports the Shipping/Rec. dept. by receiving materials, inspects parts, works with vendors/suppliers, and completes certification of conformance and First Article Inspections. She is a full-time mother and a master of many trades. We appreciate everything she does!!
