Bravo! This month, thanks to the Institute of American Civics' K-12 outreach, over 1,600 area high school students saw the Clarence Brown Theatre's production of "Inherit the Wind." The play, which is a fictionalized adaptation of John Scopes' 1925 Trial, highlights the importance of freedom of speech and thought. The performances were followed by a brief history lesson comparing the play to the actual events of the trial. #ScopesTrial100
