We were honored to join our pro bono client, Every Woman Treaty, at the UN during the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women. Partners Susan Eandi and Angela Vigil represented Baker McKenzie, advocating for a new Optional Protocol dedicated to ending violence against women and girls. Violence against women and girls is a widespread human rights violation, with nearly 75% of women worldwide lacking protection from a global, legally binding instrument. For the past four years, our team has built an international database to support this critical issue, analyzing systems addressing domestic, sexual, and intimate partner violence.
