In recognition of International Men’s Day, today, November 19th, Bakelite’s?Employee Assistance Program (EAP), is providing a free on-demand webinar to all associates. Studies indicate that men are less likely to seek help for mental health issues, which can exacerbate feelings of isolation, depression and anxiety. This webinar, “Embracing Positive Role Models for Men’s Wellbeing,” aims to help attendees to: ? ? Understand the influence of positive role models in shaping attitudes towards men's wellbeing ? Discuss strategies for men to express emotions healthily and seek support without stigma ? Address mental health crisis among men and the barriers to accessing help ? At Bakelite, being an active part of our communities is part of our chemistry. In the aftermath of recent Hurricane Helene, which impacted much of western North Carolina, our Bakelite Conway team donated supplies to the Conway Volunteer Fire Department. Partnered with the West Jefferson Fire Department, many necessary supplies were provided, including bottled water, toiletries, safety supplies, cleanup tools and more to help with local relief efforts. Associates also made personal donations of canned goods and other needed items. ?? Bakelite’s Conway, North Carolina, team recently donated equipment to support their local Conway Volunteer Fire Department. Several past and current Conway site associates are active members of the VFD, and we are happy to take part in ensuring they have the equipment they need to be effective and stay safe and help others in emergency situations. Items donated included an AED unit, DeWalt Impact wrench, Pro Pak portable foam and a multi gas meter. ??
