This week, our team members, HENRENA BRUNSON, PHR, SHRM-CP and Amy Erickson Soper, PhD, had the opportunity to connect with Adventist school leaders in the Atlantic Caribbean Union, exploring the vital link between learning, development, and performance management. The session highlighted how these components work together to enhance individual and team performance. Central to the discussion was leadership development, with participants delving into the four essential leadership roles and identifying ways to strengthen their impact within schools and the broader Adventist education community.

In partnership with UNICEF, our Family Philanthropy team supported the opening of eight new early childhood development centers in Rwanda. Located in and around marketplaces, these centers address the challenge many caregivers face: balancing work with the need for quality, accessible childcare. We’re excited to join Gov. Wes Moore in supporting this groundbreaking, cross-sector initiative aimed at advancing transformative solutions for early childhood in Maryland. ? As Governor Moore shared earlier today, “[The] government can be a catalyst and a convener but can’t be a completer … and the ENOUGH Alliance exemplifies this by leveraging public investment to inspire private sector support. In addition to the $20M public funding, private funders have committed more than $100M, achieving a remarkable five times return in less than a year. With over half of its $200M goal already raised, this collaborative effort is proving to be a game-changer for Maryland and its families".
Today, we take another step towards our mission to end child poverty in the state of Maryland: The creation of the ENOUGH Alliance, a coalition of philanthropic organizations catalyzing the state's historic ENOUGH Act initiative.
