Noble Stafford, Vice President, Recruiting, Chicago ?????? "My husband and I always wanted a family. We explored surrogacy and adoption, ultimately choosing adoption due to the high costs of surrogacy and a desire to provide a loving home to a child in need. Starting the adoption process was a time-intensive but meaningful journey. In 2021, we were matched with a birth mother, and our daughter Isa was born that September. ??Parenting is filled with rewarding, challenging, and surprising moments. Initially, we were unsure about bonding with Isa because we lacked a biological connection but watching her grow in a supportive environment has been incredibly fulfilling and has reshaped my perspective on what it means to nurture growth. ????? My career journey mirrors my path as a parent – full of new challenges and connections. Starting in the federal government, I later pursued an MBA at Wharton, which led me to Bain for its structured environment to dive into business and strategy. Although consulting wasn’t my long-term path, I found purpose in recruiting, especially ensuring access for LGBTQ+ and diverse talent. ??This passion led me to Russell Reynolds, where I specialized in executive search and change management. When Bain later invited me back to lead recruiting for the Chicago office, it felt like a natural blend of my experiences in consulting and talent acquisition. ???????? Outside work, my husband inspires me with his balance of a full caseload as a therapist and primary caregiving. His patience and dedication to our family are qualities I deeply admire. We're trying to adopt a second child – a challenging journey requiring patience and resilience. However, my Bain team and our 21-week parental leave policy for all parents, plus financial assistance for adoption have been reassuring support throughout the process"
