关于我们
Bactery is developing a new way of harvesting clean electricity from right under your feet. Soil is a great source of nutrients for plant growth, but it also happens to be a source of electrons produced by endogenous bacteria. Our soil-rechargeable bacterial battery, aka BACTERY, captures these electrons, providing a 24/7 source of clean electricity, even in the most remote parts of the world. We are on a mission to address the poor energy infrastructure on farms and accelerate the shift towards data-driven agriculture. With our bacteries, worrying about battery replacement or expensive energy infrastructure will be a thing of the past. Simply install and reap the benefits of reliable data.

???? Happy World Soil Day! ???? Today, we celebrate the foundation of our food systems and the critical role soil plays in our lives. Healthy soils are essential for sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and as we've discovered, energy generation.? #WorldSoilDay #SustainableAgriculture #SoilHealth #ClimateAction #Biodiversity #RenewableEnergy #Bioenergy
We're celebrating #WorldSoilDay! Not only does our planet's survival depend?on healthy #soil, but we recognise its incredible potential beyond supporting plant life. Bactery is a spinout company from the University of Bath, founded by ISCC member Professor Mirella Di Lorenzo, Dr Jakub Dziegielowski, and Dr Benjamin Metcalfe. They have developed innovative bacteria-powered #batteries, known as Bacteries, which can harvest electrons released by bacteria as they decompose organic matter in soil. As #precisionagriculture continues to prove its value in increasing #crop yields and conserving resources, the need for sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) devices is growing. These devices gather and transmit data about field conditions, helping #farmers make informed decisions. However, traditional power delivery methods, such as cumbersome cabling, disposable chemical batteries, and weather-dependent solar panels, limit the deployment of agricultural data solutions. By using the soil itself, Bactery offers a more practical, affordable, and reliable way to power these all-important electronics. ?? Like and share this post to raise awareness of the critical importance of soil, sustainable solutions for preserving it, and Bactery's vision to "electrify the world through the power of soil"! #agriculture #farming #internetofthings #IoT #electronics #energy #electrons #bacteria, Bath Chemistry, University of Bath Faculty of Science, University of Bath Faculty of Engineering & Design, Matthew G.
