Local material supplier Construction Midwest, Inc. is seeking to hire a new Sales Associate. The ideal candidate would have experience and knowledge in masonry construction and looking for a career change within the construction industry. This position will be responsible for selling products & services represented and offered by the company. Job Duties include but are not limited to: ? Contact regular and prospective customers to solicit orders; ? Answer inquiries by telephone, and for walk-in customers; ? Meet with customers to demonstrate and explain features of products; ? Prepare drawings, estimates and bids to meet specific needs of customer; ? Investigate and resolve customer complaints; ? Instruct customers in use of products; ? Oversee delivery or installation of products; ? Answer questions about products, prices, and availability of materials; ? Recommend products to customers, based on customer’s specific needs and interests; ? Attend trade shows and promotional exhibits; ? Registration for the 14th annual Tradeswomen Build Nations Conference (TWBN) opens today! This year's conference will be held?in New Orleans, Louisiana, from Friday, September 27, to Sunday, September 29, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside / New Orleans Convention Center.?The NOLA-inspired theme is?“Let the Good Jobs Roll.” BAC LOCAL 1 - Minnesota/North Dakota/South Dakota will be sending up to 15 female members to this year’s conference The local will make all arrangements and provide accommodations for the first 15 female members who express interest in attending. All current working members who attend the conference will also be eligible for a $400 stipend from the IUBAC after the conclusion of the event (retired members are still invited to attend however will not be eligible for the stipend.) The position would take place at our union hall located in Minneapolis, MN and job duties include scanning/electronic filing of archived documents, light administrative duties, answering phones, and assisting with retrieving documents from our storage unit. Work hours are flexible between 6:30 am and 4:00 pm.
