Michael Horn and Diane Tavenner are two people who have taught me a ton about the promise and pitfalls of tech & education.?It was a (sur)real honor and delight to talk with them about trends?to watch in the AI space. My take: the market is more focused on anthropomorphic bots?that offer simulated experiences and parasocial support than on AI infrastructure that could scale real-world experiences and authentic?human?connection. This is not about what AI can or can't do... it's what we ask of it. We had such a great time at KIPP Atlanta's Alumni Kickback event yesterday.
