It's 3 weeks post-Helene, and so many across Western North Carolina are suffering the loss of loved ones, jobs, shelter, belongings, and more. That includes students, hundreds of whom were gearing up to join the Backrs community before a hurricane tore through their mountain home. Our non-profit partner, All-Flourish has organized a WNC Emergency Fund to ensure the region's hardest hit students and families can: ?? Access food, water, medicine, and other critical supplies. ?? Make rent, car, and other essential payments. ?? Cover education expenses. ?? Procure winter clothes and other cold weather necessities. Over the last few years, we’ve noticed that students make great backrs for each other. And backrs have questions they want answered too. That’s why we’ve decided to update our platform’s tools so all community members can both give and receive support on our platform. This is a big change, and it reflects our belief that growth is a lifelong pursuit. No matter where we are in our journeys, we all could use some feedback, guidance, and encouragement now and again.?
