Every month, the team at Backline focuses on growing our referral network in one or two states to ensure we can provide high-quality, personalized referrals to music industry professionals. This month, we are looking to expand in PENNSYLVANIA and NORTH CAROLINA Even in states where we already have a strong provider base, expanding our network remains important. Our clients come to us with diverse financial needs, insurance coverage, specialties, and diagnoses, and we strive to have providers who match their specific circumstances. While some of our outreach is in direct response to increased referrals in a particular area, much of it is proactive. We continuously monitor service gaps, identify outreach opportunities, and work to strengthen our provider network to be as prepared as possible. We are always particularly in need of more medication providers nationwide, especially those who accept insurance or offer discounted rates. We also appreciate connections to local mental health organizations or community resources that might benefit music industry professionals. Heading to Nashville next week for the Country Music Association (CMA) Touring Awards! It's so awesome that CMA celebrates the hard-working, and often overlooked, professionals behind the scenes, but it's not surprising -- they are incredibly thoughtful in how they show up to take care of their community. Earlier this year, CMA Foundation announced a massive investment to address the music industry's mental health crisis through grants to Backline and several of our amazing partner organizations, including Music Health Alliance, Porter's Call and MusiCares Foundation. This investment goes beyond funding-- it's a powerful commitment to their community, and sets a vital example for the music industry at large. Backline, the music industry’s mental health and wellness resource, is actively growing our referral network around the country, and we need your help locating additional mental health practitioners! Through our Case Management program, we assess each individual's unique situation with compassion and respect and provide thoughtful and appropriate clinical referrals. Since 2019, our Case Management program has helped more than 1,700 music industry professionals access mental health services and our team has personally vetted over 1000+ mental health and wellness practitioners who understand the complexity of the music industry. We are growing quickly, and to keep delivering quality referrals are seeking great providers in?TENNESSEE and CALIFORNIA! We are hoping to add diverse providers, group practices, providers who accept insurance to help serve our clients! Backline and the Neal Casal Music Foundation are excited to announce that we are looking for the next fellow for the Neal Casal Fellowship for 2025! With the fifth anniversary of Neal's passing, the Neal Casal Music Foundation is proud to continue utilizing meaningful ways to support musicians' mental health and wellness. The Neal Casal Clinical Fellow will support Backline's long-term clinical strategy. Working alongside Backline's Clinical Director and key partners, the Fellow will build programming to support the music industry's real-time needs. Backline is proud to announce Harmony In Practice, our second annual clinical workshop for mental health practitioners?working with music industry professionals and their families! September 13-14, 2024 at Infinity Park Event Center in Denver, Colorado. Led by music industry professionals and licensed clinicians, this two-day workshop will equip mental health professionals with practical, holistic tools to address the unique challenges of the music industry, fostering resilience and wellness through collaboration and open discussion. Featuring guest speakers: Backline Clinical Director Ari Jacobson (LCPC, NCC), Backline Co-Founder and Psychotherapist Hallie Lincoln, LCSW (MFT),?Washington Wellness Institute Founder Dr. William C. Washington, Mariah Jeremiah, MSW, LCSW, Dr. John Morse, Carla Felts, LCSW, ADS, EMDR II, and International Touring Professional Andrew Dudash.?Harmony in Practice is approved for 7 Category A CEs through?NBCC, with approval pending from the Board of Social Work.
