Dr. Singley specializes in men’s mental health, focusing on reproductive psychology and the transition to fatherhood. He leads national trainings to improve father inclusiveness and founded the nonprofit Basic Training for New Dads, Inc., and the Padre Cadre social networking app to support new fathers in engaging with their infants and partners. In addition to these achievements, Dr. Singley currently serves as the President of the APA’s Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinities and is a member of the President’s Advisory Council for Postpartum Support International. Dr. Singley will present Paternal Perinatal Mental Health: The Invisible Parent, exploring the significant impact of fathers' involvement on children and the high prevalence of mental health issues among new fathers. His presentation will address the gap in provider awareness and resources, examining how men’s socialization affects paternal mental health, along with key clinical approaches, diagnostic considerations, and screening.
