What is it to be in #RightRelationship? In this fast-paced hamster wheel of modern ‘living’ we are asked to be in relationship to so many things, too many things I can barely keep up. In trying to relate to all the ‘things’ and people out there, we can easily lose sight of our relationship with ‘self’. That is perhaps the most important relationship of all. Through my practice I look at systems in nature where ecosystems thrive and apply these to human systems. Adaptive organizations operate like a healthy ecosystem, not a well-oiled machine. This is the premise of a ‘living systems approach’. This is the fertile ground from which we can partner. I will seek to understand your organization as an ecosystem, then create a customized journey for your company’s specific needs and desires. There is not a prescriptive template I will force you in like many big box consulting firms. The process is both organic and structured, adaptive, and stable. B the Light is a customized boutique consulting firm and is able to shine a light on issues and solutions most others cannot see. I see and appreciate the uniqueness of each client while also understanding the larger social, economic, and environmental patterns that shape and govern our lives–– the systems that are fading and the ones that are emerging. Through this lens I will work with you and your team on four main areas: 1. Transformational Leadership and Culture 2. Adaptive Systems Design 3. Operational Excellence 4. Scaling Up All of these are iterative and cyclical at the same time. We cannot look at one element without also understanding how it is in relation to the other three areas. I will approach our partnership in a holistic way that seeks to understand the ‘whole system’ and unlock its true potential all the while addressing your most pressing needs now… and having fun along the way!

After seven months of immersive learning in drylands #agroecology the first official cohort #graduated yesterday amongst the beauty of fall. It is fitting really, that we started in the spring and the fruits of our labors this growing season are abundant! Yes in the actual harvest and also in the knowledge gained, relationships forged and strengthened and the personal growth as a human, woman, mom, leader, consultant, wife, partner...all the aspects of my life personal and professional were #regenerated through this experience! Big thank you to Nick DiDomenico and Amy Scanes-Wolfe for guiding us through this journey! Your knowledge, passion and wisdom are so powerful as individuals and breathtaking to see you two in collaboration! The world needs more of you and I count myself blessed to be on this journey with the entire cohort! My next step.... is mapping all the incredible frameworks for regenerative agriculture, permaculture and drylands agroecology to #humansystems so that I can better partner with my clients in regenerative #organizationaldevelopment!

?? Regenerative Agriculture: A Pathway to Climate Action ?? As the world faces the pressing challenges of climate change, the need for regenerative agricultural practices has never been more urgent. This is why I am thrilled to share that I am currently undertaking an apprenticeship course in regenerative agriculture through Drylands Agroecology Research. My goal is to apply the principles of regenerative agriculture as a business consultant as a way to grow #thriving and #adaptable organizations. What is Regenerative Agriculture? Regenerative agriculture goes beyond conventional farming techniques by focusing on restoring soil health, increasing biodiversity, and improving water cycles. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of natural ecosystems, aiming to create resilient farms that can adapt to and mitigate the impacts of climate change, all the while producing an abundance of healthy food. Why This Matters for Climate Action: #Soil Carbon Sequestration: Healthy soils can capture and store significant amounts of carbon dioxide, reducing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. #Biodiversity Enhancement: By promoting diverse crop rotations and reducing chemical inputs, regenerative practices support a wide range of plant and animal species. #Animals are part of the solution, the actions of livestock when managed appropriately actually serve as ecosystem healers. What if livestock were seen as a service and not a food commodity? Through their managed interaction with land cows, sheep, chickens, pigs etc can actually help to restore the carbon cycle. Through this practice I study natural and healthy ecosystems and apply the same principles to human systems. As I pondered the best way to launch this next chapter of my professional journey I sought out new learning pathways to nurture and grow my skills. During this same time, my dear friends at Drylands Agroecology Research launched their first official apprenticeship program this spring and it was a beautiful match. The program started in April and continues through October. We continue this holistic journey into ecology, and farming, exploring how we come together to erode the barrier between humans and nature and regenerate our earth. Here we are in the field doing soil tests with Nick DiDomenico, Nelson Heider-Kuhn, and Amy Scanes-Wolfe. As spring flowers bloom and new life emerges in the sunshine, my family and I are embarking on a new journey. A journey off of the hamster wheel and daily grind. A journey to deeply connect with ourselves, humanity and the natural world! We move to the farm on 5/24 and will be starting two years of travel to various regenerative farms around the world, with Longmont as our new anchor. I will post more of the "Big Adventure", as our kids call it, as it emerges. For now I wanted to share just a sneak peak of my new professional life as the CEO of B the Light Consulting. Through my consulting practice, I study systems in nature where ecosystems thrive and apply these to human systems. Adaptive organizations operate like a healthy ecosystem, not a well oiled machine. This is the premise of a living systems approach and the way I am partnering with my clients to unlock their true potential. In most boardrooms and consulting firms, my work is generally called OD or Organizational Development. However, my approach is heart centered and unique, like nothing you have ever experienced in prior consulting arrangements. Through healthy and balanced partnerships I guide my clients to champion adaptive and resilient organizations. Adaptive organizations and resilient communities are built on regenerative principles. The most basic premise of regeneration is that it replenishes as it grows, it does not deplete or destroy, it heals and renews. This pragmatic approach melds transformational leadership with innovative systems design to navigate today’s challenges and unlock the true potential of the people and organizations who invite me to work with them.?
