?? This art project has us falling in love with the stunning work of @KehindeWiley ! Have you seen his portraits? The way he places Black folks in powerful poses surrounded by these amazing patterns just makes our hearts happy. You’re probably familiar with his portrait of @barackobama We turned his inspiring style into the sweetest connection activity with our little ones! Thanks to @artprojectsforkids for the wonderful Youtube tutorial! While creating their self-portraits, we talked about all the brilliant things that make them who they are. "Your kindness is like these swirling patterns," I told my daughter. Her eyes lit up as she added her "smart brain squiggles" to her background.
