So you may be wondering... What's the difference between a "Group Internship" and a "Career Internship"? We've got an answer for you! Group Internships include working with other interns and one #AZY staff at all times. For example, our Footprint Center internship! Career Internships are with a company where they will assign you a mentor for the duration of the internship & you will be the only #AZY intern at that company. In 2021, I had the honor of being a Taco Bell Foundation scholar, which led to an unforgettable visit to their headquarters in Irvine, CA. It was my first time meeting fellow scholars in person, and it was inspiring to connect with such driven individuals who shared a passion for making a difference. While our goals were diverse, the overlaps and shared ambitions created a truly special bond. During the "Succeeding Early in Your Career" & “Strengthening Your Mental Health & Wellness” workshops, we learned invaluable lessons about building momentum in our careers and prioritizing mental health. The following day was spent at the Orange County ropes course, which challenged us to face our fears and build resilience. A heartfelt thank you to Andrew German, Daniel Horgan, Michael Nemeth and Jessica Cavedoni for welcoming us with open arms and making this experience so meaningful. Your guidance, generosity, and commitment to helping us grow are things I’ll never forget. The lessons you shared and the memories we created will always stay with me. ??
