Our team members have gone above and beyond, embodying the values that are at the heart of our company culture. Join us in congratulating... Kim Rehme, Quality of Life Coordinator at Azura of Manitowoc Kim’s nominator shares, “Kimi organized a Secret Santa at our inservice not only for the residents, but for the team too. All of the team came together and the residents had a wonderful Christmas! We had a limit of $15 but the team spent well over that for the residents, showing what kind hearts we have here in Manitowoc. It was amazing to see the smiles on the resident’s faces opening their gifts, and they were so thankful. None of this would have been possible if Kimi hadn’t organized this wonderful event. Thank you, Kimi!!”

Join us in congratulating our next group of Certified Dementia Specialists!! The Certified Dementia Specialist certification is 34 hours of learning in-depth information on different dementias, how to approach someone who is having behaviors and how to be successful in completing tasks with our residents while utilizing the resident's strengths & independence. Team members will also need to recertify on an annual basis to ensure their skills stay fresh. We are working towards certifying team members from all of our homes! These Dementia Specialists are the experts on dementia in their community, and we encourage families to turn to these team members when they need support or guidance with their loved one.

These moments of connection and teamwork help us grow stronger—not just as colleagues, but as a family dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we serve. Recently, several of our Azura team members participated in the SafeTALK Suicide Awareness Training, equipping themselves with the tools to recognize signs, provide support, and connect those in need with life-saving resources. Mental health matters, and having these conversations can truly make a difference. Let’s talk about the “why”… my job doesn’t feel like work. It brings me joy and purpose, knowing why we do what we do. I’m so thankful to be able to share the joy the residents bring with my daughter, and involve her - last week she brought her Girl Scout cookies to Azura Memory Care and Assisted Living Brookfield and did a cookie tasting with all of the residents, so fun. It brings so much understanding for her and joy to the residents. #seniorliving #teachingthemyoung
