This is a great article about the importance of always having a second spec'd material. A back up material. Material and material grades become obsolete. We all know material shortages happen. "Force Majure" letters from 2020 are still etched in many of our brains. Our solid record of zero major non-conformances from our third-party registrars’ surveillance audits spans beyond the seven years currently shown on the official website of the IAQG OASIS (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System).
