Every dollar you give locally is a seed of change right here in Arizona. Take the Osborn Family from Yuma, for example. They left a powerful legacy by supporting the Parks and Recreation Department—transforming Mr. Osborn's passion for outdoor recreation into a gift that will benefit their community for generations to come. ACF empowers you to make a direct difference—supporting local nonprofits and community initiatives that transform lives. Small gifts, BIG possibilities. Your generosity can create lasting change across our state. ?? Discover how YOU can strengthen Arizona https://ow.ly/H3ll50Ubczy

Philanthropy isn't just about writing a check – it's about creating lasting social change with purpose and intention. This National Philanthropy Day, our Phoenix office demonstrated exactly what strategic giving looks like, hosting 'Charitable Strategies in Times of Change'. Last Friday, we brought together over 30 passionate donors, professional advisors, and fundholders to explore how philanthropy can truly make a difference. Lisa Stratton, Director of Development, set the stage for an inspiring afternoon of learning and connection. Senior Community Impact Officer, Adam Lopez-Falk ,shared critical insights into how ACF identifies community needs and partners with donors to address them meaningfully. Fundholders Peter and Rebecca Fine, joined by their Development Advisor, Erica Andl, offered perspective on family philanthropy – highlighting how giving can become a powerful multi-generational tradition that connects and inspires families. The event wasn't just about conversation – we dove deep into practical strategies, including tools that can maximize tax savings while amplifying community impact. From understanding community needs to engaging entire families in philanthropic work, we're committed to making every dollar count. Want to transform your giving from transactional to transformational? Look for more opportunities to learn about best practices in philanthropy throughout 2025!

The Arizona Community Foundation was proud to sponsor the Sandra Day O’Connor Dinner with Oppenheimer and Truman. We enjoyed learning about two individuals whose lives changed the course of history during World War II, Manhattan Project Director, Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer and President Harry Truman. Equally important was being surrounded by our philanthropic partners and friends who make Arizona better! Arizona Community Foundation Anna Maria Chávez Michelle Gayles Kimberly C. National Philanthropy Day Across Arizona: A Day of Impact and Recognition What an incredible celebration of generosity across our great state! Here's how our ACF communities marked this special day: In Phoenix, the Central office hosted "Charitable Strategies in Time of Change," an educational event designed to help donors maximize their philanthropic impact. The timely discussion focused on strategic giving approaches that combine thoughtful planning with tax-efficient solutions. ACF of Yuma dedicated its conference room to philanthropic leaders Russ and Janet Jones, honoring their transformative impact on San Luis, Yuma, and surrounding communities. Their commitment to education and arts & culture has created lasting change that will benefit generations to come. In Flagstaff, a morning at Coconino Community College's Nursing Program showcased the impact of ACF's recent $116,000 grant in action. ACF President & CEO Anna Maria Chávez and several ACF team members witnessed firsthand how these funds shape tomorrow's northern Arizona healthcare professionals. The celebrations continued with: - A surprise $5,000 unrestricted grant from ACF to Sunnyside Neighborhood Association. - The exciting announcement of Flagstaff Shelter Services' new ACF nonprofit endowment fund. In Sedona, the community gathered for the Sedona Grant Awards Celebration, recognizing outstanding projects that will enhance quality of life throughout Sedona and the Verde Valley. Chief Impact Officer Michelle Gayles delivered a powerful keynote on the impact of collective giving, emphasizing how philanthropy drives positive change. In Yavapai County, the Donor Appreciation Event brought together Legacy Donors and the Board of Advisors. Over food and drinks, local philanthropists shared their passions and commitment to community impact. ACF of Yavapai County Regional Director Lisa Sahady highlighted the current landscape of legacy giving, revealing exciting projections about planned gifts that will continue to transform our region. These celebrations remind us that philanthropy isn't just about giving—it's about building stronger, more vibrant communities for all Arizonans. Check out the photos from this amazing day.

We're honored to share a momentous celebration of Native American Heritage Month! Yesterday, the Arizona Indigenous Philanthropy giving circle gathered at the beautiful Taawaki Inn in Clarkdale to award grants to outstanding Native-led organizations making a difference in our communities. Congratulations to our grant recipients, Tonatierra Community Development Institute and Tutskwat Oqawtoynani Hopivewat, each receiving $10,000 to further their impactful work. Our deepest gratitude to AIP founders Barbara Poley and Jacob Moore, co-chairs Melissa Begay and Dr. John Molina, and to Desert Diamond Casino for their generous event sponsorship. We also thank the Burton Family Foundation for their matching grants that amplified our impact. We extend our sincere appreciation to Chairwoman Tanya Lewis and the Yavapai-Apache Nation for welcoming us onto their ancestral lands, where the Taawaki Inn stands as a testament to Indigenous collaboration, co-developed with the Hopi people. Together, we're building stronger, more inclusive communities across Arizona.
