The Arizona Community Foundation mourns the loss of Marc E. Kellenberger, a transformative leader whose commitment to philanthropy has reshaped our understanding of community impact. Founded in 2013, the Center for LGBTQ Philanthropy found its true calling in February 2020 when it was renamed the Kellenberger + Tollefson Center—a testament to Marc and Richard Tollefson's extraordinary vision. As Anna María Chávez, ACF President & CEO, eloquently stated, "Marc's longstanding relationship with the Arizona Community Foundation was a testament to his belief in the power of community philanthropy. His consistent dedication and philanthropic leadership have created a legacy that will continue to inspire." Since its inception, ACF's Kellenberger + Tollefson Center for LGBTQ Philanthropy has: ? Awarded over $1.5 million in grants and scholarships ? Secured nearly $30 million in gifts and promises ? Focused on critical areas of LGBTQ community support: Youth, Aging/Seniors, and Transgender Communities Marc's own words capture the essence of his mission: "We encourage others to join us in providing the philanthropic leadership to ensure justice, dignity, and opportunity for all, including our LGBTQ community."
