关于我们

As a 24x7 live-fire cyber warfare range we provide the community with InfoSec training. Our purpose is to develop a well-trained workforce versed in continuous improvement processes for cyber defense and security. We host hands-on exercises to everyone from beginners to tenured professionals through real-world operations. Each area is designed to meet the needs of the students' education level, with the proven results of upward career progression in the real world of cyber defense and InfoSec. Skills are learned in a hands-on/real-world environment. Our participants learn such areas as Computer Network Attack (CNA), Computer Network Defense (CND), and Digital Forensics. We have also added a security operations center (SOC) training working with our corporate and community college partners. Although we are not a lab or certification entity, we provide real-world statistics on all security systems placed into our Range. If you are a student or a hobbyist, your submissions are welcome. Limitations are based on available resources such as human time, server space, and available bandwidth. We are always looking for opportunities to serve the greater community. Contact us if you're looking for conference speakers, our mobile ranges where we host war games, and other forms of education. Please contact us with your proposal. If you would like to verify the engagement and/or technical contribution of someone who claims to be a volunteer, please call the Range at 480-525-9801 and ask for Brett Scott. • It is becoming increasingly difficult for individuals to maintain their mental well-being. The constant barrage of information, the pressure to succeed, and unforeseen challenges can lead to heightened stress levels that may negatively impact one's overall health. However, by incorporating certain practices into your daily routine, you can cultivate a sense of calmness and mental stability even amidst chaos. Practice Mindfulness Meditation - Mindfulness meditation involves focusing on the present moment without judgment while acknowledging your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations. By doing so, you can develop greater self-awareness and emotional regulation skills that help manage stress effectively. Engage in Regular Physical Exercise - Physical exercise is not only essential for maintaining physical health but also plays a crucial role in promoting mental wellness. It releases endorphins, which are natural mood elevators that help combat stress and anxiety. Prioritize Sleep Quality Over Quantity - Sleep is vital for maintaining optimal mental health as it allows your brain to process emotions, consolidate memories, and restore energy levels. Aim for seven to nine hours of sleep each night by establishing a consistent bedtime routine that includes winding down activities such as reading or taking a warm bath. Foster Strong Social Connections - Human connection is essential for mental well-being; therefore, nurture your relationships with friends and family members who provide emotional support during challenging times. Adopt a Healthy Diet - A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats is essential for maintaining optimal mental health. Foods containing omega-3 fatty acids such as fish, nuts, and seeds have been linked to improved mood regulation and reduced symptoms of depression and anxiety. Practice Gratitude - Cultivating an attitude of gratitude can help shift your focus from negative thoughts towards appreciating the positive aspects of life. Keep a daily journal where you list three things you are grateful for or engage in conversations that encourage expressing appreciation and thankfulness. Set Realistic Goals and Prioritize Tasks - Setting achievable goals based on realistic timelines can help reduce stress levels by preventing feelings of overwhelm. Break down larger tasks into smaller, manageable steps while prioritizing your daily to-do list according to urgency and importance. This approach ensures that you accomplish essential tasks without sacrificing self-care or mental well-being. today's fast-paced world.

  • Social media now has a ubiquitous presence in our lives. While these platforms offer unprecedented connectivity and opportunities for self-expression, they also present significant risks when used carelessly. The dangers of oversharing on social media are numerous and often underestimated by users. 1. Identity Theft and Fraud Oversharing personal information on social media can provide cybercriminals with the building blocks they need to steal your identity or commit fraud in your name. 2. Social Engineering Attacks Cybercriminals often use information gleaned from social media to craft convincing phishing emails or phone scams. By understanding your interests, work history, or recent activities, they can create highly targeted attacks that are more likely to succeed. 3. Physical Security Risks Sharing your real-time location or details about your daily routine can put your physical safety at risk. Burglars, stalkers, or other malicious actors can use this information to track your movements and plan their activities accordingly. 4. Reputation Damage What seems like a harmless post today could come back to haunt you years later. Potential employers, romantic partners, or business associates often research individuals online. 5. Corporate Espionage For professionals, sharing too much information about your work can inadvertently reveal sensitive corporate information. Competitors or malicious actors could piece together valuable intelligence about your company's operations, strategies, or vulnerabilities. 6. Relationship Exploitation Oversharing details about your personal relationships can make you and your loved ones vulnerable. Cybercriminals might use this information to manipulate you emotionally or target your friends and family. 7. Financial Vulnerabilities Posting about expensive purchases, vacations, or financial windfalls can make you a target for various scams or theft. It's best to keep your financial situation private. How to Protect Yourself Regularly review and tighten your privacy settings on all social media platforms. Be selective about what you share. Ask yourself if the information could be used against you in any way. Avoid sharing real-time location data or details about your daily routine. Be cautious about connecting with people you don't know in real life. Use strong, unique passwords for each of your social media accounts and enable two-factor authentication where possible. Educate yourself and stay updated on the latest social media scams and cybersecurity best practices. Think before you post. Once information is online, it can be challenging to completely remove it. Remember, in the digital age, your online presence is an extension of your identity. Protecting it should be as natural as locking your front door. By being mindful of what you share and understanding the potential risks, you can enjoy the benefits of social media while keeping yourself and your loved ones safe from cyber threats.

  • In our increasingly connected world, public Wi-Fi has become a ubiquitous convenience. Whether you're working from a local café, waiting for a flight at the airport, or staying at a hotel, the allure of free internet access is hard to resist. However, as a cybersecurity professional with two decades of experience, I'm here to warn you: public Wi-Fi networks are a playground for cybercriminals, and using them without proper precautions can put your personal and financial information at serious risk. The Illusion of Security Many people assume that if a Wi-Fi network requires a password, it must be secure. This is a dangerous misconception. The password for a public network is, by definition, public knowledge. It does nothing to protect you from other users on the same network. Common Threats on Public Wi-Fi Man-in-the-Middle Attacks: Cybercriminals can position themselves between you and the connection point, intercepting data you think you're sending to websites. Evil Twin Attacks: Hackers can set up fake Wi-Fi access points that look legitimate but are designed to steal your data. Packet Sniffing: Using readily available software, attackers can capture and analyze data packets transmitted over the network, potentially revealing sensitive information. Malware Distribution: Public networks can be used to spread malware to connected devices. Session Hijacking: Cybercriminals can steal your session cookies, allowing them to impersonate you on various websites. Protecting Yourself While the risks are significant, there are steps you can take to protect yourself: Use a VPN: A Virtual Private Network encrypts your internet traffic, making it unreadable to interceptors. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: This adds an extra layer of security to your accounts. Avoid Sensitive Transactions: Never access banking sites or make online purchases on public Wi-Fi. Keep Software Updated: Ensure your device's operating system and all applications are up to date. Use HTTPS: Only visit websites that use HTTPS encryption. Disable Auto-Connect: Prevent your device from automatically connecting to available Wi-Fi networks. The convenience of public Wi-Fi comes at a potentially high cost to your cybersecurity. By understanding the risks and implementing protective measures, you can significantly reduce your vulnerability to cyber threats. Remember, in the digital world, vigilance is your best defense.
