We are excited to announce our partnership with the St. Thomas Center for Microgrid Research to demonstrate our clean electrical generation technology as part of the 2024 @GridCatalyst Demonstration Cohort. Aza Power's unique repowering approach gives new purpose to existing combustion engines by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable anhydrous ammonia. By replacing and reprogramming the fueling system, our conversion technologies reduce the greenhouse gas intensity of combustion engines by >95 percent! Showcasing our technology in a cold-climate environment will validate its efficacy and catalyze innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development. Good article on #ammonia that presents a balanced evaluation of a new carbon-free #energy source. All forms of energy require resource inputs (copper & cobalt mining, lithium, platinum coatings, silicon cells, ruthenium catalysts…) and have outputs & byproducts (N2O, CO2, tailing ponds, un-recyclable blades & batteries…). Ammonia is no exception, it does not emit carbon but poor combustion will lead to N2O and NOx. Aza has technology that enables complete combustion (in engines, gensets, power turbines…) that prevents these harmful nitrogen based emissions. #climatetech https://lnkd.in/ghi_yAPz

With the recent excitement surrounding the Vegas F1, we wanted to tip-our-hat to the cutting edge engineering that makes the sport so fascinating. Aza Power uses a similar combustion technology to the F1 cars but we employ it to enable 100% #ammonia combustion in engines and generators. While our goal is not to go 200 mph, we feel that using carbon-free fuels for industrial #decarbonization is similarly cool. #climatetech #carbon #engineering
