Founded in 2012 by Tom Best, Jonathan Diaz, and Mike Herrera, Axis Mechanical has experienced enormous growth due both to experience and competency. With over 150 combined years of HVAC construction, our leadership team is uniquely qualified to make critical job-specific decisions, having all worked their way through the Apprenticeship Sheet Workers Program. We are a functioning Union shop (Local 104) and registered Bay Area SMACNA members. Many of our personnel worked their way through the Apprenticeship program, some of which are also accomplished welders. Based in the Silicon Valley, Axis is experienced in • BIM (Building Information Modeling) and CAD (Computer Aided Design) • HVAC Design Build, Plan, Specification & Service • Architectural Sheet Metal • In-House ASME-Certified Duct Fabrication • Achieving LEED Certification • Working with stainless steel, black iron, copper, bronze, silicon bronze, zinc, galvanized steel, prefinished metals, fiberglass, plastic, and aluminum

    This Women in Construction Week, Axis Mechanical is proud to celebrate the many talented women who help drive success at Axis Mechanical and across the industry. Women play a critical role in construction, contributing their expertise across a range of disciplines. From project management to finance, administration, and fieldwork, their impact is seen every day. At Axis Mechanical, we’re fortunate to have an incredible team of women whose dedication and expertise shape our success. Their contributions make a lasting impact on our projects, our company, and the industry as a whole. Here’s what a few of our team members (pictured below) had to say about what they enjoy most about working in construction: Angela Stirling, Assistant Project Manager – "I take great pride in working in construction, collaborating with our diverse team across a range of projects.
