Axio AI has acquired ActiveClass from PHX Ventures. Founded in 2021, ActiveClass has developed a social learning platform for higher education, integrating social media-like functionality into online classrooms to improve student engagement and instructor effectiveness. Our team at Axio will continue to support ActiveClass's existing products and clients, while using the IP as a foundation to build next-generation social engagement features into our own platform. As part of the acquisition, we welcome ActiveClass's co-founder and CTO, Alex Slaughter, to our team as our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). A big thanks to Chris Chumley and Gregg Scoresby of PhxVentures for their partnership in this endeavor.

Sharing some exciting news! When we started Authoritive in 2019, my mission was to support authors and creators in adapting their work into unique learning experiences that offered value to their?audiences and produced new revenue opportunities. In the five years since, we've had the great fortune to collaborate with an extraordinary group of creators and experts, we built some really amazing things and we learned a lot.? ? Over the last year, generative AI has been quickly opening up entirely new avenues for development and growth in the creator economy and edtech spaces. Excited by the potential, but realizing we didn't have the resources on our own to capitalize on it, we began to talk to potential partners. We wanted to find a company and founders with whom we were mission aligned and who were dedicated to working with AI to provide high value learning experiences.? ? We found exactly that in Mark Naufel and Axio AI. Originally incubated at ASU (as Primer), Axio is an AI-driven learning platform that acts as a personalized learning coach, that adapts, understands and evolves with each learner's unique profile - including their interests, aspirations, and learning needs. It's a very dynamic experience that has the ability to deliver precise knowledge when it matters most, and in a way that will resonate individually. And it's just getting started. ? Today, I'm thrilled to share that Authoritive has been acquired by Axio who will be supporting the technology we created and their brilliant creators. But even more exciting are the?new?opportunities this will provide our existing community and well beyond. Gene Cohen, our CTO, will be moving over to Axio to work with Mark and his team. I will be transitioning into an Advisor role, providing strategic and creative support in the months and years ahead.? ? I want to thank everyone who worked with us at Authoritive. In?2021, I met?Mike?Klingen, the founder of Daily Dose Systems, to discuss his passion for leveraging technology to support addiction recovery. I'm thrilled to announce that Axio AI has advanced to the Semi-Finals of the 2024 Pepperdine Most Fundable Companies List We are now one of the top 100 companies, selected out of over 2,000 applicants nationwide, putting us in the top 5% vying for a position in this year's list. Pepperdine's review process is rigorous, and we initially applied knowing it would be a great opportunity to showcase our progress.
