  • It breaks our hearts to see all the progress that is being/will be undone. Please check in with the LGBTQIA+ folx in your life, especially the younger ones. We remain committed to providing equitable access to healthcare and a safe, affirming space. If you need healthcare advice or aren't sure where to go, please stop by one of our clinics. We'd love to answer your medical questions to the best of our ability and help you find the healthcare you need. ??????????

Neurodivergent (AuDHD + Dyscalculia) and gender-expansive (Intersex + Nonbinary) coach helping organizations be neuro-inclusive and gender-affirming.

Check-in on the LGBTQ+ young people in your life. I volunteer as a support group facilitator for Transgender, Intersex, and Gender-expansive people and held a support group the day after the election. The group had over 150% increase in attendance compared to the usual number of attendees. There were feelings of hopelessness, grief, and fear in the space. Even if you do not identify as LGBTQ+, this wave of anxiety should be cause for action. Don’t mistake silence or a smile as a sign that everything is alright. Our youth need psychological safety, and we can all do something to show up for the LGBTQ+ youth in our lives. Here are a few resources to be aware of: ?? Trans Lifeline: 877-565-8860 (US), 877-330-6366 (Canada) | Run by and for Trans people ?? Wildflower Alliance Peer Support Line: 888-407-4515 | Trained peer supporters ?? Thrive Lifeline: 313-662-8209 | Trans-led and operated ?? LGBT National Help Center:888-843-4564 | Youth Talkline:?800-246-7743 | Senior Hotline:?888-234-7243 If you would like support knowing how to be there for your LGBTQ+ youth or loved ones, send me a DM. • Headline from publication them that reads crisis calls from LGBTQ plus youth spiked by 700% after election day. The story is by Orion Rummler. There is an image of three people hugging with the American flag in the background.
  • One of our favorite things about being in the clinical research industry is learning about the healthcare innovations happening through clinical trials. Some of our team members are out this week to learn what's on the horizon and how healthcare might advance in the upcoming months and years. And while we know that not everything being investigated will be the breakthrough we hope for, it's invigorating to hear about all the progress being made. It's good to have such a hopeful reminder of why we do what we do! ?? ???? Andrea Rodriguez, CCRC Wenoah Veikley #ClinicalResearch #ClinicalTrials #Healthcare

Delighted to be attending The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center's third annual Health Equity Summit today and tomorrow. We deeply value each of the communities we serve, and we know that there are many inequities, especially in healthcare, to overcome. Ready to learn from like-minded individuals and bring that new knowledge into everything we do at AXCES. #HealthEquity #NewMexico #PublicHealth #HealthEquitySummit

  • It never gets old. We have prioritized diversity since day 1, but we will never tire of knowing that we're doing our part to increase diversity in clinical trials and therefore decrease health disparities. Medical research still has a long way to go, but progress IS happening ?? Video description: A young baby blows into a toy horn, and it makes a noise. She laughs hysterically at the sound. Text on the video reads, “Us tootin our own horn when we effortlessly crush our diversity enrollment goals again.” #ClinicalResearch #ClinicalTrials #DiversityInClinicalTrials #Diversity #DEI #DEIA

  • AXCES is indigenous owned, so this day means a lot to us. Whether you take time to reflect on what indigenous peoples in the Americas have endured, visit a Native American cultural center, or spend time with your indigenous friends, we hope that today can be a day of learning and appreciation. • Happy National Coming Out Day! No matter where you are in your journey, we hope that today can be a day for you to live as your authentic self, without hate or discrimination. And while we still have a long way to go, we look forward to the day that everyone can be who they are, free from bigotry, prejudice, intolerance, and narrow-mindedness. We’ll leave you with these beautiful words from the Human Rights Campaign website: “Coming Out” has been the common term for someone who acknowledges being LGBTQ+ and it is used throughout our resources. However, it is important to note that this language centers the persons we are coming out to rather than us. It gives the impression that people who don’t identify as cisgender or heterosexual are hiding something from society, rather than acknowledging how homophobia and transphobia create an unwelcoming environment. When publicly identifying as LGBTQ+, you are inviting people into a part of your life that should be protected and celebrated. You are not asking for permission to be you. You control the narrative, and who and what you allow into your life. Remember, you are not alone. No matter where you are in your journey, we wish you a full, rich, authentic life — a life free from bias, discrimination and hate — and we are working hard every single day to make sure that is a reality for you and for everyone. We are gonna build a world where every LGBTQ+ person can be healthy, safe, liberated, celebrated and joyful in every area of our lives — without exception. Let’s do it together.
