About African Women Refugee Immigrant Care Founded in 2018, African Women Refugee Immigrant Care (AWRIC) is dedicated to empowering refugees and immigrants as they transition to new lives in the United States. Our mission is to support women, children, and youth who have experienced trauma, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. Our Mission AWRIC provides comprehensive support and resources to ensure refugees can overcome the barriers they face in adapting to their new surroundings. We focus on personalized assistance tailored to each individual's needs, fostering self-sufficiency and integration. What We Do Welcoming and Integration: We assist with housing, local resource connections, and creating a welcoming environment for new arrivals. Employment Assistance: Our job readiness training, resume building, and job placement services help refugees secure meaningful employment. Education and Youth Programs: We offer tutoring, mentorship, and after-school activities to support academic and social development. Healthcare Access: Facilitating access to healthcare services, including health education, medical referrals, and system navigation. Community Engagement: Organizing cultural and community events to promote cultural exchange and foster a sense of belonging.
