Association of Veterinary Technician Educators (AVTE)

NJVTA, the credentialing body for Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT) in New Jersey, has announced a significant bylaw change that will impact credentialing requirements. This change, passed via membership vote on January 31, 2025, will officially take effect on January 1, 2027. Key Changes to Credentialing Requirements ? Effective January 1, 2027, the NJVTA will no longer recognize reciprocity as a pathway for credentialing. Moving forward, all new NJVTA applicants must meet the following certification criteria: 1?? The 2024 AVTE Program of the Year Blinn College Veterinary Technology Program is one of the only programs where Veterinary technician students perform their clinical rotations with veterinary doctor students.
