IVL is now the dominant therapy for calcified lesions. ? Hitinder Gurm, co-founder of AVS and?an Interventional Cardiologist with the University of Michigan Health System,?recently published a study that examines?the trends and outcomes associated with coronary IVL among patients who underwent PCI in the state of Michigan from January 2021 to June 2022. Dr. Gurm and his colleagues found that IVL use increased significantly during this time period, increasing from 0.04% to 4.3% utilization by June 2022. ?
