Today is Corporal Chris Simcoviak's last day as SRO at Avonworth School District. We cannot thank him enough for everything he has done as our SRO for the last seventeen years and wish him the very best in his retirement! On Monday, Officer Laura Andreakos will begin as SRO at Avonworth. We are excited to welcome her to the District.

Congratulations to Mrs. Karen Russell on being named WTAE Hearst Pittsburgh's Teacher of the Month for February! Mrs. Russell is a 1st Grade Teacher at Avonworth Primary Center.

Tuesday's first-ever Future Ready Showcase at Avonworth School District was a complete success. Students were able to circulate and connect with representatives from a number of PNRC member businesses and organizations to learn about volunteer opportunities and possible career paths after high school. IKM Architecture?approached Workscape in hopes of creating a different and exciting environment for students in?Avonworth School District’s #highschool cafeteria. The school was looking for an eye-catching piece to stand out in the space and add to the common area. They wanted something durable for #highuse and #flexible to fit a #design they already had in mind. Through conversations and understanding with district leadership about their goals, a post-beam Timber solution from?DIRTT, along with seating and #collaborativeareas from?SitOnIt Seating, helped to create this unique environment. Seating and tables in the school’s colors added to the space, lending a “community” feel to the Timber structure. We love how it turned out!
