4 years ago, I joined Breezeway as the 2nd CSM without knowing a thing about the vacation rental industry. I knew *so* little, that I was actually shocked they were hiring, because we were in the middle of a pandemic, I thought to myself, how are they still growing?! I joined a small team with Koryn Okey and Kelsey Liversidge. Working with them made me understand what makes Breezeway so special, and why our clients love Breezeway so much. I learned about customer empathy and what truly caring about your clients means through Koryn. Every client knows who Koryn is, and Koryn knows who every client is. She might also know their dog's name, their kid's birthday, their favourite color, and where they last went on vacation! That's the kind of leader Koryn is. Kelsey taught me that everything has a solution if you want to find the solution hard enough... and back then when we were still building Breezeway, there were a lot of workarounds to come up with ??, but our clients saw how much Kelsey cared. I also wish I had her encyclopedic brain. And then came Kaitlin Quinn, Katherine Bridge, Conner Franck, Alisha Salinas, Anastasia Baker, Katie Middlebrooks, Julie Lanio. I couldn't have asked for a better team and friends to be in the trenches with every single day. Customer Success is HARD, but we laughed and cried through it together. I hope you all continue remembering that Monday is the best day of the week ??. It’s going to be fascinating to see what AI looks like in the home service industry a year from now. Right now it’s definitely in that early adoption phase–which has definitely been me. I hope it gives an edge over the people not getting in on it now. That includes our call center and finding ways to amplify what we’re doing already. A big part of that has been AI coaching for our CSRs. Being able to see breakdowns of each call, right down to what is or isn’t being said by our techs, is a powerful hack. Our call quality used to be low because there just wasn’t a way to listen to every single call. After all, we’re talking about thousands of calls a day through the call center. AI coaches let you steer those calls over time and figure out what makes a call with a 70 percent or higher grade get booked versus a call that the coach thinks could use some work. We've even got AI in our SMS and customer follow-up campaigns doing big work. And all of that is just year one. What will it look like next year? I’m excited.
