Last week, leaders from across the state gathered at the @caalliancekids conference in Sacramento to advocate for California’s most vulnerable children and families. From impactful meetings with legislators to thought-provoking sessions with inspiring speakers, the event provided a powerful platform to drive meaningful policy change. Aviva’s President & CEO, Amber Rivas, and VP of Development, Priscilla Valencia, met with Assembly member @isaacgbryan , staff from @senlaurarichardson35 , and representatives from @asmpilarschiavo and @senatorvalladares to address the Foster Family Agency Insurance Crisis and emphasize the urgent need for comprehensive child welfare policies. Last week, Catalina Villegas with Spectrum News 1 SoCal covered the Foster Family Agency (FFA) insurance crisis, and interviewed an amazing resource parent from Aviva Family and Children's Services. We are working hard to increase awareness around this crisis, and will continue to partner with advocates like California Alliance of Child & Family Services and Association of Community Human Service Agencies (ACHSA) until a long-term solution is found. Thank you to those of you who have been amplifying our calls for intervention by sharing and reposting — the work is not finished yet!

I had the opportunity to meet with the office of CA Assemblymember Pilar Schiavo to discuss important child welfare policies, especially the need to provide critical bridge funding for California foster family agencies. Grateful to represent Aviva Family and Children's Services along with other members of the California Alliance of Child & Family Services. We were delighted that our Wraparound Department took some time recently to come together, reconnect, and rejuvenate. This amazing team is the heart of what we do at Aviva. Wraparound services are kind of like a big hug, making sure our clients and their families get all the care and support they need to thrive. Thank you to the team for all the incredible work you do!
