A new study in The The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry showed the impacts of a unique HBOT protocol on neuroplasticity and symptoms in 56 veterans with long-term PTSD. And the results were life-changing for participants. This randomized controlled trial used both treatment and sham (placebo) groups. The veterans who received HBOT treatment (the same protocol we utilize at Aviv Clinics) exhibited a 41% reduction in symptom severity, a significant decrease in depression, and enhanced brain connectivity in regions linked to emotion, perception, behavioral processing and self awareness. The sham treatment group showed no improvement and in many instances, their symptoms had worsened. The study is now available to review here: https://ow.ly/PHrK50U4Ny2

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is one of the best tools to aid in surgery prep and recovery. All surgeries result in wounds that need healing, and HBOT optimizes tissue oxygenation before surgery and accelerates wound healing afterward. Bob is one such example of HBOT's efficacy in surgical recovery. He's prepped and recovered with HBOT for a rotator cuff and a knee surgery, and he did one rotator cuff without HBOT. Bob says the recovery processes and return to normalcy were remarkably different. Why can HBOT help? ??Decreases swelling and inflammation, promoting faster recovery ??Enhances oxygen availability, so injured tissue gets a boost of oxygen, aiding healing ??Promotes collagen synthesis, so fibroblasts thrive, reducing scar tissue formation ??Boosts antibiotic efficacy and enhances leukocyte oxidative killing, reducing infection risk Would you consider HBOT for you or your patients to accelerate surgical healing?
