The day was filled with fantastic networking, reconnecting with aviation industry professionals, and supporting the future of aviation. The excitement began the night before at the Sponsor & Scholarship Reception in the Jetset Magazine Hangar, where we celebrated the bright future of up-and-coming aviation professionals. I went to a town hall meeting with new AOPA President Darren Pleasance this weekend at the Buckeye Arizona Fly In. He addresses a question about government agencies using ADSB data for enforcement action, when the ADSB mandate was meant for safety. State Department of Revenues have also started using ADSB data from companies selling these data to track down aircraft that may be escaping sales / use and property tax assessments, those flying under the radar, so to speak.
