Yesterday was an engaging day at #COP29. Lisa Wee joined Rt Hon Chris Skidmore and Stuart Brocklehurst on a panel discussing how digital is enabling resilience and innovation towards net zero. We believe digital and AI are critical to scaling renewables – we’re collaborating with academia, industry and government to drive change. Mounir Boemond also spoke on a panel focusing on accelerating the global energy transition through international partnerships. In the discussion Mounir emphasized the importance of working across borders with suppliers & partners to deliver projects using a single platform to share access to data to drive efficiencies. He shared how we work with Highview Power to help balance supply & demand and intermittency on the grid as an example of this in practice. Lisa also hosted a panel event at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero UK Pavilion focusing on how AI and technology are driving decarbonisation. In the session, Lisa shared our perspective that reaching the goals set out in the Paris Agreement will need deep collaboration between government, industry and society. Lisa touched on how CONNECT builds digital ecosystems to optimize value chain performance and drives progress at scale. Last week, more than 800 industry leaders gathered at AVEVA Day Japan where two remarkable stories captured the transformative power of #industrialintelligence: The Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development has pioneered data-driven dementia care, using predictive analytics to shift from reactive treatment to preventative care. At Mitsubishi Chemical, digital transformation is reshaping its operations from the ground up, putting the company on a path to greater innovation. These stories share a common theme: the future demands that we all work differently, together. We talk about ‘radical collaboration’ at AVEVA. It means breaking traditional boundaries by combining human insight with data, AI and strategic partnerships. Through this approach, we can collectively tackle the world’s most pressing challenges, from climate change to aging workforces and fragmented supply chains.
