#Congress stood up for the rare disease community yesterday ?? We are ecstatic to share that the House Energy and Commerce Committee passed the Creating Hope Reauthorization Act of 2024 with unanimous bipartisan support, taking an important step toward renewing essential incentives for the research and discovery of new rare disease treatments! This is a huge step in the right direction for the rare disease community. Thank you to all our peers, allies, and advocates who helped make this possible. Now, we urge the members of the Senate HELP Committee to support this critical bill ahead of the September 30 deadline.

Thanks to a generous grant from RareIs, Avery's Hope has been able to help a family with week long lodging while waiting for a Ronald McDonald House vacancy. Leaving their home for their child's care at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is stressful enough. This is just one of the many ways Avery's Hope assists rare pediatric GI patient families.
