Amazon Sellers: Phishing Scams Are Evolving—Here’s How to Stay Safe
Scammers are getting smarter, and their latest email phishing schemes are shockingly convincing.
Our own Shannon Roddy recently shared his firsthand experience with a well-crafted Amazon phishing email—one that could have easily tricked even the most seasoned seller (read his full post below).
Here’s the bigger issue: One wrong click could compromise your entire Amazon business. These scams aren’t just about stealing login details—they can lead to fraudulent account takeovers, lost revenue, and even suspension.
How to Protect Your Amazon Account from Phishing Attacks
1. Enable Two-Step Verification: This adds an extra layer of security, making it much harder for hackers to access your Seller Central account.
2. Never Click Suspicious Email Links: Even if an email looks legitimate,?go directly to Seller Central?instead of clicking links. If you’re unsure, check the sender’s email address carefully.
3. Use a Secure, Dedicated Business Email: Free email accounts are more vulnerable to spoofing. Protect your brand by using a?verified business domain.
4. Regularly Review Your Account Activity: Keep an eye on login locations, payment methods, and account setting changes. If something looks off, act fast.
