Today, we opened Avelo’s newest base of operations at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA), located minutes from Downtown Charlotte, NC. The opening of Avelo’s Charlotte / Concord base includes positioning two aircraft at USA, the addition of new destinations, and creating up to 50 new jobs. ? We serve seven nonstop destinations from Charlotte / Concord and will begin nonstop service to Daytona Beach, FL, and Nashville, TN next month. The fast and easy small hometown airport experience USA offers is a relaxing alternative to the long lines and congestion at CLT. ? Avelo opened its Charlotte / Concord base today with one Boeing Next-Generation 737 at USA and will add a second 737 in April 2025.

On February 21st, we celebrated the launch of Avelo’s inaugural flight from Hartford, CT (BDL - Bradley International Airport) to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ - Punta Cana Airport), making Avelo the only airline connecting Connecticut to the Dominican Republic. This also marks the third international destination we’ve introduced from Hartford, following Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ), and Cancun, Mexico (CUN). ? Festivities took place on both ends of the journey. The excitement began in Hartford and continued upon arrival in Punta Cana, where our first flight was welcomed with a water cannon salute, vibrant Dominican dancers, and lively musicians. Customers arrived eager to start their vacations and reunite with loved ones, making for a memorable celebration. ? Hartford now joins Raleigh / Durham, NC as Avelo’s second nonstop route from Punta Cana. We are proud to be the only airline offering nonstop service from PUJ to both Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL) and North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), providing a more convenient and affordable way to travel between these destinations.

Last week, Avelo Airlines joined the State of Connecticut to celebrate National Pizza Day. I was honored to join several of Connecticut's biggest pizza lovers to enjoy a few slices of America's best pizza - including CT Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker, CT Chief Marketing Officer Anthony M. Anthony and Taste of New Haven Founder and Pizza Historian Colin Caplan. And what better place to memorialize this occasion than the pizza capital of the world - New Haven, CT. Last week, we announced a significant expansion of our presence in North Carolina with the establishment of two new bases of operation at Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA) and Wilmington International Airport (ILM). ? This expansion brings even more travel opportunities for North Carolina Customers, with five new routes launching across ILM and USA, as well as Avelo’s first two international routes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). With these seven new routes, Avelo now serves 27 nonstop routes from North Carolina — offering Customers greater access to affordable, convenient, and reliable travel options. ? Milestones don’t get much bigger than this: our maiden international flight departed this morning from Hartford, Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport (BDL) for Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ)! Avelo is the only airline offering nonstop service between Connecticut and Jamaica, and we’ll be operating between Hartford and Montego Bay twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays, beginning today. ? This connection brings even more choice to our Customers who rely on Avelo to provide reliable, affordable and convenient travel opportunities to 29 destinations from Connecticut. We expect to provide plenty of Caribbean sunshine for vacation-goers as well as an important link for Jamaican communities to connect with friends and family in both countries. ? Our inaugural service to Montego Bay will be followed next Wednesday with our second international destination — Cancun, Mexico, taking flight from Hartford. ?
