AVCP-RHA staff recently joined the Y-K Coalition in Juneau to advocate for our region’s infrastructure priorities. One of the key areas of focus was energy, a critical issue for the Y-K Delta. We are grateful to have had AVCP-RHA Chair Wayne Morgan speak on behalf of the tribes we represent, ensuring that our voices are heard at the state level. Collaboration is key to securing the resources our communities need. Quyana to everyone working to improve the future of our region!

Atmautluak, Alaska – This month, AVCP Regional Housing Authority (AVCP-RHA) staff embarked on a snowmobile trip to Atmautluak to deliver life-changing news to two families. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing quality housing solutions in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, AVCP-RHA awarded two newly constructed single-family unit homes to very deserving homebuyers. Among the recipients was a family that had recently experienced a devastating house fire, losing all of their belongings and being displaced from their home. Since the tragedy, they had been living with another family while searching for stability. Being able to provide a safe and secure home for families in such situations is deeply meaningful to AVCP-RHA. “Helping families rebuild and regain their independence is at the heart of what we do,†said Peter Evon, CEO at AVCP-RHA. “This moment highlights the importance of our mission, and we are honored to support the Atmautluak community.†AVCP-RHA is committed to bringing sustainable, affordable housing to more remote communities in the Y-K Delta, ensuring that everyone has a place they can call home.
