Leading inpatient addiction and co-occurring treatment in New Jersey. We have combined a serene, tranquil environment with the newest evidence-based treatment modalities. Avatar is surrounded by over 10 breathtaking acres of countryside the bordering the Skylands Botanical Gardens and Monksville Reservoir. Our detoxification program is the first step to your recovery. Our physicians understand what a difficult process this first phase is. We supply several different comfort medications and medication assisted treatment ( M.A.T.) that almost eliminate the withdrawal symptoms. A licensed counselor will meet with you and complete a comprehensive assessment, to best determine your next step of your recovery. Normally the detoxification process lasts between 6-10 days. Once this is complete, we can transition you to our Residential Program which lasts on average 30-60 days. At this level of care, you will continue with a licensed mental health/ addiction professional who will provide individual therapy, be assigned to group therapy sessions with other individuals sharing and learning from their experiences , and have a psychiatric evaluation from a medical professional. You and your family will also be invited to participate in our multifamily group experience. We understand the importance of adjunct therapies in substance use treatment. We offer art therapy, equine therapy, music therapy, pet therapy and yoga. Lastly, we employee Peer Recovery Specialist, offer alumni groups and invite members from outside 12 step Programs to bring meetings into the facility to ensure you begin to make connections to the recovery community prior to your discharge.
