New publication alert! https://lnkd.in/egXf-P3E A recent analysis of Medicare data (2016 to Q3 2022) revealed that Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty (RSA) had a lower initial revision rate (1.9%) compared to Total Shoulder Arthroplasty (TSA) (3.5%), but higher rates for subsequent revisions. RSA also incurred greater Medicare costs for both the initial procedure and revisions. Avant-garde Health uses this data to improve surgical outcomes and financial performance, working with the Codman Shoulder Society to help healthcare systems optimize care quality and cost management through collaboration between surgeons, researchers, and healthcare leaders.
