AVANCE-Austin’s Zobeida Guerrero and Juliana Rodriguez led a powerful bilingual session at the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TXAEYC) Austin Chapter Conference! Their workshop, “Crafting Connections: The Science of Learning through Play with AVANCE Toys,” highlighted the power of play in early childhood development. Attendees created their own AVANCE hand puppets, learning how these simple toys can foster communication, strengthen caregiver-child bonds, and promote developmental growth.

Joined educators, families, and advocates to push for policies ensuring access to quality, affordable child care for Texas families. ?? Spoke directly with legislators about key bills which aim to strengthen child care services and support providers. This rally aligns with AVANCE’s mission to create opportunities for families. We dove deep into collaborative conversations with educators and non-profit leaders, sharing challenges, celebrating successes, and brainstorming solutions to resource gaps. The energy in the room was electric—full of shared insights, motivation, and a renewed commitment to resilient coalition work. Here’s to Day 1 setting the tone for more connection, collaboration, and change!??
