MBUSI hosted an inspiring group of future trailblazers – the GLAM Girls Learning About Manufacturing – at our Vance plant! These amazing young women were treated to an exclusive tour of our state-of-the-art facility and a delicious luncheon. Throughout the day, they had the chance to connect with the incredible women shaping the future of the automotive manufacturing industry, gaining valuable insights into the exciting career opportunities that await them. These milestones highlight the growth of Toyota in the U.S. and its commitment to American manufacturing. Today, we celebrate a great milestone for Kia Georgia, Inc. —the anniversary of starting Kia Sorento production in 2009, the first vehicle to roll off the lines in West Point. Today, Kia has made one of the largest investments in Georgia’s history with a $2.8 billion state-of-the-art facility in West Point. This investment has created over 14,000 jobs and produced more than 4.2 million vehicles. With an annual capacity of over 350,000 vehicles, Kia Georgia is proud to manufacture the Telluride, Sorento, Sportage, and soon, the all-electric EV9. Congratulations!

Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) donated 20 Subaru Outback vehicles to the Lafayette Fire Department (LFD) to support emergency response training. This contribution is part of a larger donation of 44 vehicles to local organizations, including Greater Lafayette Career Academy, Wabash Township Fire Dept., and West Lafayette Fire Dept. Today, November 15, marks the 30th?anniversary of BMW Manufacturing’s official opening. On this day, a white 318i signature car was driven on stage with an excited crowd of more than 1,000 people cheering. It was also the night that traffic on Interstate 85 stopped for a short time due to the greatest fireworks show ever. This week, BMW Manufacturing continued celebrating the 30th?anniversary of production with a special event honoring our 30-year associates. Dr. Robert Engelhorn, president and CEO of BMW Manufacturing, told those attending, “From the first associates who walked through these doors in 1994 to each colleague standing here today, your commitment, hard work, and belief in what we do has fueled our success.
